Guided by curiosity and love of adventure I report about people, places and events on the U.S. West coast.

I love to go where others don't, won't or can't go.

I came to Los Angeles in 2003 and have more than 30 years of experience in journalism, five of them as head of German public radio’s West coast studio. In 2008 I became California correspondent for the biggest network of German freelance foreign correspondents weltreporter.net.

I host the weltreporter-podcast, a show of stories from around the world, and wrote a book about arriving in California.

I just published a collection of short stories and poetry inspired by my life in Los Angeles: Farewells and New Beginnings. Currently I work on a novel about a woman in her 50s living on the edge.

"Every day is an adventure in California.
